this one means a lot to me because it represents the core idea the brand was built on. the concept comes from kintsugi, a traditional japanese art where broken pottery is repaired with lacquer mixed with gold. instead of hiding the cracks, the artist highlights them. the fractures become part of the story, making the piece even more unique and valuable than before it was broken.

that idea speaks to what sdsc stands for. the scars, the mistakes, the hard seasons, the things we thought would break us. they do not make us less. they become part of the design. the gold in the cracks is the growth, the lessons, the resilience that comes from putting yourself back together.
